History
St. Margaret's was founded in 1965. Based on the excellent traditions of Catholic Schools, our School aims at providing an all-round education and nurturing students to be positive, responsible global citizens with an international outlook.
In 2000, St. Margaret's Educational Organization (Non-profit-making) was granted a government-built school premises at Sham Mong Road, West Kowloon. It features a superb "Y2K" design at a huge building cost.
Our School was selected by the School Allocation Committee out of a hundred more applicants on the strength of our value-added performance in the past years and our innovative school development plan. The new school was scheduled for operation in September 2003.
Our School joined the Direct Subsidy Scheme in 2001 which gave us the advantage of exercising flexibility in terms of management, financial resources, curriculum, teaching and the enrolment of students.
In September 2003, our School will make history as the first school in Hong Kong adopting a through-train mode from Primary One to Form Seven in the same school premises. It will also be a co-educational, English-medium school.
