Academic Development

We put much emphasis on students' academic performance and adopt English as the medium of instruction. To achieve the purposes of motivating students to learn and improving their academic performance, reforms are implemented in our school curriculum as well as teaching methods.

Aims :

  • To develop students to be tri-literate and quad-lingual.
  • To strengthen students' language ability through Extensive Reading Schemes and the Good Morning Newspaper Reading Scheme.
  • To boost students' Performance in public examinations.
  • To foster the development in Information Technology.
  • To set up "English Campus Channel".

A tri-literate quad-lingual school with a global outlook

Spurred on by an international outlook, the language environment in the school is one where children feel comfortable conversing in, English, Putonghua or Cantonese. Different subjects will be instructed in one of the aforementioned languages and the students will communicate after class with individual teachers in the same medium of instruction (MOI) as used by the staff for teaching purposes. In addition, we offer a fourth language (Japanese, French, or Spanish) as compulsory subject for primary students and an elective for secondary students in order to give our students an edge in communication. In Primary One and Two, students are taught a different fourth language in each of the school's three terms so as to have a taste of the language before deciding which language they will choose to study from the beginning of Primary Three. We aim to develop a tri-literate and quad-lingual culture to enhance our students' adaptability in the global arena.

On the Value-Added List

Our school has been assessed by the Education Bureau (EDB) to be value-added twice consecutively among all secondary schools in Hong Kong.
